Placement
Students will be placed in the class that will be most beneficial for them. A combination of age and ability will be taken into consideration. As the student progresses, ability is of utmost importance, with age regarded second. Children grow and advance at many different rates; therefore they will be enrolled in the class level most appropriate for their ability. Because BBDA strives to develop a love of dance in every student, class placement is not taken lightly. Students will be under evaluation throughout the first month of class in order to determine if they have been placed in the correct classes.
Attendance
Attendance is crucial to each child's growth, so it is very important that each student be prepared for class and on time. In the event of a late arrival, please wait to enter the class until there is a change of shoes or your next scheduled class. If your child will be absent due to illness, please call the academy ahead of time to guarantee make-up lessons. If the student is physically able to attend class but not dance due to injury, they will be asked to observe. Lessons can be made up anytime during the current semester. No refunds will be granted for missed classes.

Tuition is due by the 1st of the month. A late fee of $15.00 will be added to each account if payments are not received by the 7th of the month. A notice will be sent out for accounts not current by the end of the month, and your child will be asked to sit out of class for accounts not current by the end first overdue month. (Tuition is caculated based on the number of hours registered for each month.) Registration: An annual registration fee will be due at time of registration ($20 per student, $30 per family). We offer discounts for siblings (10%) and boys (50%). BBDA is now offering automatic debit and online bill pay through Pay Pal. Never pay a late fee again! Observation
Broadway Bound will hold two observation weeks per dance year. Parents, grandparents, family and friends are welcome to watch their favorite dancer! Watch the communication board or click on the "Events Calendar" for more details. In addition, our classroom viewing windows are open on the first week of every month.
(BBDA Parents take a lesson in ballet during October observation week.)
Progress Reports and Teacher Conferences
In our effort to keep parents and guardians informed at all times, Broadway Bound faculty will be handing out progress reports during observation weeks. Should you have any questions regarding your child's progress, do not hesitate to speak to the academy director or arrange a teacher conference.
Academy Dress Code
Broadway Bound dancers will be required to follow the set dress code. Baggy clothes are unacceptable because instructors are unable to see proper alignment of the body. Students will be asked to observe class if the dress code is not observed. Leotards and tights will be mandatory for all ballet classes, while a less traditional dress is acceptable for other classes. All items are available for purchase at the academy. Snow Schedule
In the event of inclement weather arriving in the afternoon hours, please call the Academy ahead of time and wait for the recording, or click on "BBDA News" to ensure evening classes are still being held. If morning classes have been cancelled, but bad weather subsides throughout the afternoon, classes may still be in session for the evening.
